How do I log today's eggs?
On the Home tab, tap +1, +6 or +12 as you collect. To edit a past day, open the Eggs tab and tap the entry, or use the + button to log a specific date.
What is the lay rate?
Your average eggs per day over the last 7 days divided by the number of hens marked as Laying in your flock. Keep hen statuses up to date (broody, molting, growing) for an accurate number.
Can I try the app with example data?
Yes. On the welcome screen choose Explore with a sample flock, or later go to More → Settings → Load a sample flock. You can remove it again with Delete all data.
I'm not getting reminders.
Make sure notifications are allowed for CluckBook in the iOS Settings app (Settings → Notifications → CluckBook). Then check the reminder is switched on in More → Settings, or that Milestone reminders is on for your hatch. Focus modes and Low Power Mode can also delay notifications.
How accurate are the boil timer and incubation settings?
They are widely used rules of thumb — a good starting point rather than a guarantee. Stoves, egg sizes, altitude, incubators and climates vary, so adjust to what works for you.
Is my data backed up or synced?
Your data is stored only on your device. It is not synced between devices. If you use iCloud Backup or a computer backup, your device backup includes the app's data.
How do I delete my data?
More → Settings → Delete all data, or delete the app from your device.
Which devices are supported?
iPhone running iOS 17 or later.
